The staff at East High School believes all students can learn and need to be in challenging and rigorous classes. Students are responsible for determining and accepting the course of study for which they register. They must plan very deliberately, always keeping in mind high school requirements , individual interests and post secondary plans.
Students will start their 4 year plans during middle school. These plans are revisited and, if needed, revised at least annually at the start of 2nd semester to ensure students' plans remain in alignment with their post-secondary goals. Course requests for the next school year are completed at this time. Students can meet with their counselor at any point in the school year to discuss their 4 year plan.
