Choose between standard or honors for Horticulture and Animal Science courses
You must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an agriculture class in order to participate in FFA activities
The advancement of the FFA degrees is contingent upon the number of agriculture classes taken
Marketing: These classes are project-based.
Group and team-based projects are common in these courses
You should be prepared to present and communicate in group settings
Community-based activities, field trips, and guest speakers are used to enhance the connections between the content and the real world
Digital Design & Animation must be taken before Game Art & Design as the skills and concepts are essential for all other courses
AP Computer Science Principles is designed for students with little to no programming experience. All are welcome
In order to take Drone Technology, you must be 16 years old and have a valid government-issued ID. This is required for the remote pilot licensure exam associated with the course

Teamwork and communication are foundational in these courses.

INTERIOR DESIGN
Interior Design Fundamentals is the first course required
Interior Design Technology Honors and Interior Design Studio may be taken in any order (You do not have to take both)
The first three courses in this pathway are designed to build your knowledge of the healthcare field (actual patient contact and care take place in the fourth level)
Foundations of Health Science and Health Science II build your understanding of healthcare careers and medical knowledge
Health Science I provides an in-depth study of the human body, specifically the structures, functions, and disorders
Nursing Fundamentals is a senior-level course, offered as a double block during 1st and 2nd (a clinical rotation at a local geriatric care center is required and will support you in receiving the Certified Nursing Assistant credential)
Students must be in the 10th grade or older to register for the courses
In this program, you will become a training resident of the NC State Board of Cosmetology. This requires you to submit a copy of your Social Security Card, a government-issued ID, and a birth certificate
Please communicate to your counselors your wish to participate in the program, as it does require a significant amount of your scheduled blocks, and you will need to be strategic in your course requests
Good attendance is foundational to being successful in this program so that you can complete the required number of hours for apprentice licensure (1200 hours)
Safety is the most important piece of participating in the automotive courses
The lab space is only for students who have shown their ability to be responsible and maintain safety of themselves and their fellow students
You should be prepared to work hard, communicate with team members, and to clean up after yourself and your groups
Students will have the opportunity to work on real customer cars and will be trained on customer relations.
You will be able to obtain your OSHA 10 Safety certification in this pathway
This pathway provides an introduction tothe construction industry where you will learn how to use tools, read blueprints, and specific buidling skills
Communication and employability skills are key components
In these courses, you will participate in a lot of self-directed activities as you hone your skills in sketching, drawings, and the CAD software
You will gain an understanding of the various careers available in the drafting and engineering trades. Additionally, students will practice working for clients in a simulated setting
You will have the opportunity to take the nationally recognized industry certification exams for each course
Our welding classes focus on industrial welding processes
Welding II and III students have the opportunity to gain AWS D1.1 structural qualifications
Students must be in the 10th grade or older to register for the courses
