Back Cover Blurbs

What is a blurb?

Blurbs are the text you find on the back of books devised to make you want to read the story.

What makes a good blurb?

• • They are short.

  • They use attention-grabbing words and phrases.

  • They tend to use question and exclamation marks.

  • They often use three periods at their ends (an ellipsis) to leave the reader asking questions...

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer:
