I knew I wanted to be an SLP since I was in middle school and have never wavered on that decision. I have such a passion for working with children and making sure they have a voice and a way to communicate and express themselves. I love supporting my kids and helping them grow in their abilities and celebrate their strengths. Therapy is never a "one-size fits all" and those needs may change from session to session. I enjoy hearing feedback from my students about therapy strategies and techniques that work best for them and empowering them to advocate for themselves and be aware and able to ask for what they need in and outside the classroom.
Hello!
My name is Jenna Dorman and I am one of the Speech-Language Pathologists at Rich Pond Elementary. I am originally from Tampa, FL and attended Florida College before transferring to Kentucky where I completed my undergraduate and graduate level coursework from WKU. I have previously worked with First Steps which is an Early Intervention program working with the birth to three population and their families. I was originally employed by WCPS to service HeadStart, private schools, and helping serve Rich Pond Elementary 2 days a week. This has given me an opportunity to work with a variety of students in various settings and has been a very positive experience. I am currently at Rich Pond 4 days a week.
Outside of school, I enjoy working to love and support children in the Warren County community and being actively involved in supporting their various needs. I love to lose myself in a great book, spending time with family and friends, and completing DIY projects around my home such as home decor and upcycling small furniture projects.
I am looking forward to another great year in Warren County Public Schools and encouraging my students to work hard and be the best they can be!
