RTI Information for the Teacher
The date on the tracking form is the week starting with that date. Tracking can be done any of the days in that week. (2x/week for Tier 2, 3x/week for Tier 3)
Make sure progress data is shown in either as a percentage or as _ out of _ (i.e. 4/10).
For articulation, there should be at least 10 words attempted to count as the intervention for that sound on that specific day. For language, we can provide you worksheets or computer software to aid in the intervention process. You can also utilize activities that you currently use in the classroom. For fluency, just listen to the student two or three times a week depending on what tier they are in, and track the dysfluencies (stuttering) episodes that you hear.
Halfway through (week 3), let us know how the student’s percentage of progress has been. For a student in Tier 3, we will schedule the ARC meeting to get permission to test, if the progress is below 80% at the halfway point.
If you feel like you need some assistance or pointers at any point in the intervention process, just let us know. This may be especially helpful in the case where the student continually receives 0%.
We will try our hardest to periodically check in on how things are going with the RTI process. However, please contact us at any time, if you need ANYTHING at all. Also, contact us when you are approaching the end of your data log, if we have not already contacted you.
