Journalism & Yearbook

This course equips students with the opportunity to develop important writing, editing, interviewing, photography, and design skills while creating a product that students and families will cherish for years to come. Membership on the Yearbook staff requires a completed application. 

Yearbook explores journalistic writing through analysis of magazine/book publication; concentrates on purpose, influences, structure, theme development and language use; covers news gatherings, ethics, copy writing, style, editing, and revising; also covers design and layout techniques, photography, and advertising skills.
