Learn Sign Language with your children

Did you know that speaking requires more muscles and coordination than playing the piano? Many nonverbal children, know what they want to say, but can't shape the words with their lips, tongues and voices--a condition called verbal dyspraxia. Signing is a great way for these children to begin to communicate.

Using signs CAN give your nonverbal child a way to communicate and WILL NOT prevent your child from learning to talk. (Please follow the link if you want more information).

Signing Time is a great series of videos for learning sign with your kids. Sit down together, and watch the video for ten minutes every day or every other day. You'll be surprised how easy and fun it can be to learn some simple signs.

Here's an all-time sign-along favorite: Silly Pizza.
