Ask you child which animal or plant lives in the ocean.
Purpose: practice vocabulary, learn about categories, answer questions.
Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Click on the picture to make a virtual visit to the shark tank at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Try to watch for 5-10 minutes.
Directions: Comment on what you see using simple, describing sentences. Use words like big, little, fast, slow, under," towards us," "away from us". Instead of asking you child questions, make comments yourself, and see if your child will join you by pointing out what he or she sees.
Purpose: speak in sentences, use describing words, joint attention
