Policy reminders:

• All  medication permission must go through the nurse on your campus and a medication administration form needs to be filled out for every medication on hand. 

• Students are not allowed to carry medication. All medication must be kept in campus nurse's office. 

• Parents are responsible for providing medications. Wall ISD does not keep Tylenol/Motrin or other over the counter medicines on hand unless provided by the parents for that individual student. 

  • • DO NOT send individual tablets of medication in plastic baggies. The nurse will not administer any medication not in the original bottle. 

• Inhalers are considered medication! They may be carried IF:

  • • The student has an asthma action plan on file that has been signed by a parent and the doctor with self-carry agreement.

    • The inhaler is in the original box with pharmacy label or inhaler has pharmacy label on it. 

• EpiPens may be carried by student IF:

  • • There is an allergy action plan on file with self-carry agreement that has been signed by a parent and the doctor. 

    • The EpiPen must be individually labeled for that student. 

• Please contact the nurse on your campus with any questions or concerns.

• Disregarding the district medication policy will result in consequences deemed necessary by school administration.
