Incoming Kindergarteners
Welcome to Wall ISD! We are so glad you are here!
A few reminders regarding health and wellness:
Immunizations:
ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE IMMUNIZATIONS UP TO DATE AND ON FILE PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
Either mail the updated record to school, email it, or bring it by the office before school starts.
Medications at School:
Please click on the medication administration tab and review our district policy.
Remember, all medication must be in the ORIGINAL CONTAINER. Please do not send unlabeled medication in a baggie or envelope, it will not be given to your child.
Medication must be appropriate for your child's age. If it says do not give under 12, we will not give to a child less than age 12.
Any medication brought to school must be accompanied by a completed administration form. These can be found on the medication administration tab.
Asthma and Special Health Concerns:
If your child has asthma, severe allergies or any other special health concerns please try to visit with me as soon as you can, so that we can develop an appropriate plan to best address his/her needs for the school year. Students with asthma or allergies should have an “Action Plan” on file. Action Plans can be found on the Action Plan tab. Contact me with any questions about how to get this completed.
Illness at School:
Be sure that you leave good working phone numbers where you or an alternate person (if you are not available) may be reached in case your child is ill or injured at school. If the phone numbers change during the year, notify the office so those changes can be made. Review the Illness Guidelines tab for when to keep your child home or when they may be sent home. As always, if unsure, please contact your child's healthcare provider or myself.
