Collecting Written Voice

Padlet allows every person in the room to have a voice. You can add text, images, sketches and video. You can make three free padlets, take a screenshot when you are finished and save as an image, so you can re-purpose your free padlets. It has several options for organising your padlet board.

Post-It is a free app for phones which allows you to take pictures of hard copy post-its , view and edit them, and convert them into viewable pdfs or slides or send to other users of post-it apps

Linoit is very similar to Padlet but the owner needs to keep control of the position of the notes otherwise they build up over the top of each other, as others post. The advantage is that it is free, unlimited.

Answer Garden creates word clouds with the most common words growing in size so they stand out more. It works best for one word answers. A nice brainstorming tool.

Word Clouds can be generated by a number of different apps. One easy way is to use a google doc add-on called Word Cloud Generator. Install the add-on under the Add-on menu in the google doc.

Google forms are easy to set up and collaborate with others on. The excellent thing about them is that they generate a spreadsheet which can be used in a myriad of ways, eg to send merge mail, or to import layers into a map, or put the text onto a doc using another add-on called "Save As Doc". If spreadsheets aren't your thing the Form collates the results for you and displays then in graph form.

Jamboard

Jamboard is a collaborative whiteboard app in the google suite that can be used on ipads and other tablets, phones or laptops. Student tablet users can access a suite of rich editing tools to collaborate with students or educators. You can access it from a web browser, too. Try out this one by writing your name on it. If using Zoom you can share the link with or without editing rights then screen share.
