Introduction to Drama/ Movement Techniques
Improvisation - Group work and storytelling
Listening Skills - Music Appreciation

Course Overview:
Year 9 Classwork deepens skills explored in Yr 8 and aims to:
Develop students’ skills of confidence, personal awareness, trust and co-operation
Introduce students to basic performance techniques of movement, body, voice and improvisation via Theatre Sports
Explore Dance/ Movement techniques via learning and creating choreographies
Explore working with scripts to investigate storytelling, dialogue and characterization
Improve listening skills (music appreciation)
Practice instruments
