College/Career Indicators

The College/Career Indicator measures how well schools are preparing students for likely success after graduation. Only graduates can be classified as Prepared or Approaching Prepared. For schools to demonstrate success on this state indicator, high school graduates must meet at least one of the measure in the prepared level. (Visit www.cde.ca.gov for more information).

PREPARED LEVEL- Does the graduate meet at least 1 measure below?


HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA Plus any one of the following:


Measure 1:  Complete a Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway plus:


Measure 2: Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments (SBAC): 


Measure 3: College Credit Courses:

-Two semesters or three quarters of Dual Enrollment/Concurrent Enrollment with a grade of C- or better in academic/CTE subjects where college credit is awarded


Measure 4: Advanced Placement (AP) Exams:


Measure 5: University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) a-g requirements:

APPROACHING PREPARED LEVEL- Does the graduate meet at least 1 measure below?
