Course Description: Physical Education 1 is a coeducational physical education class designed to meet the goals and objectives of the California State Framework for Physical Education. The course is structured around a component curriculum which emphasizes varied daily activities designed to meet student fitness goals, interests, and skill levels. Course Description: P.E. 2 is a co-educational class for 10th, 11th and 12th graders, offered as part of the two year physical education graduation requirement. Sports such as football, ultimate Frisbee, basketball, soccer (indoor and outdoor), volleyball, badminton and softball will be offered. Course Description: Body Works is an elective course for juniors and seniors. Body Works will consist of a variety of cardiovascular fitness, exercise science, muscular strength and conditioning, rhythm and movement, fitness and sports. This class is designed to enrich students on a variety of methods in order to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. These methods include weight room, yoga, aerobics, body weights, nutrition and more.

Course Description: This course is designed for the student interested in developing speed and power for athletics, physical fitness, and daily living. Students take an active role in the learning process. Standards set forth in the California State Framework will be addressed using Olympic lifting as the theme. The class includes initial development in the techniques of proper lifting followed by testing to determine baseline strengths and abilities. Students will demonstrate an eagerness to question, collaborate and improve skills.
