4-H camp is a week long residential camp held at the Airfield 4-H Center in Wakefield, VA. 4-H camp is a fun opportunity for youth to learn skills through hands-on experiences. The camping program helps youth build self-esteem and challenges them to be innovative and creative. Campers have the opportunity to participate in exciting classes, with many options to choose from: arts and crafts, canoeing, riflery, archery, robotics, swimming and theater arts, just to name a few. There are also swim and recreation times, special evening events, songs, games and more!
Northampton, Accomack, Petersburg, Suffolk summer camp week is July 27-July 31 at Airfield 4-H Center in Wakefield, VA and is open to all youth ages 9-13 (as of September 30, 2026). Registration will open in April. The cost is $450, but scholarships may be available on an as-needed basis for youth in Northampton County and the Eastern Shore.

June 1: Scholarship applications due
June 15: Registration form and non-refundable deposit ($150) due. We accept cash (exact change) or check. There is a $50 fee for any returned checks. Make checks payable to VCE-Northampton.
July 1: All paperwork in 4-H online completed. Instructions can be found below.

CIT requirements:
Must be 14-16 years of age
Must attend at least 24 hours of training (dates TBD)
Must be mature, responsible, dependable, respectful, work well with others, have a positive attitude and be a good role model!
Cost to attend camp is $275
Counselor Requirements:
Must be 14-19 years of age
Attend at least 24 hours of training (dates TBD)
Must be mature, responsible, dependable, respectful, work well with others, have a positive attitude and be a good role model!
