*If student self-reports lower than a 5 on a sliding scale question, possible counselor referral needed
*If student has a difficult time (beyond appropriate shyness) answering many of these vulnerable questions, a possible counseling referral may be needed
*If a student shares any yellow or red flags with you let them know that you WILL touch base with the school counselor, but they can choose if they want to proceed with the counselor

“Do you know about our tutoring options/ do you know how and when to get a hold of them?”
“Have you run into any problems turning in credits? Do you know the best way to turn in a credit? Do you know who to contact/how to contact if you have a problem turning in a credit?”
“Do you know where you are academically? Do you know how many credits you need to turn in each week to graduate by your goal date?”
“Do you know how it could change your graduation date if you turned in one extra credit a week?”
“Are you open to me introducing/mediating/collaborating/ (you can provide a soft hand over) setting up a virtual meet with ____________?”
“Do you know how to get a hold of administrators if you need too?”
“Do you know how to reach out to the counseling team if you need social/emotional/grad/college/career/FASFA/financial aid/ other academic support/?”
