Calgary Ring Road


Trans-Canada Highway Detours May 12 & May 14, 2020

With construction on the West Calgary Ring Road due to commence in the spring of 2019, the final 9 km leg of Calgary's Ring Road will be open to traffic in late 2022.

Construction on the Southwest Calgary Ring Road (SWCRR) has been underway since 2017 by AT's general contractor, KGL Constructors. Completion is expected in 2021.

On Tuesday, May 12, from 10 pm to 6 am, traffic will be reduced to onelanein each direction on the Trans-Canada Highway east and west of Stoney Trail. The ramp from southbound Stoney Trail to westbound Trans-Canada Highway will be closed and motorists will be detoured to Bowfort Road NW.

· On Thursday, May 14, from 10 pm to 6 am, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the Trans-Canada Highway east and west of Stoney Trail. The ramp from eastbound Trans- Canada Highway to northbound Stoney Trail will be closed and motorists will be detoured to Bowfort Road NW.
