We are going to take a look at the eye of a pig.
The basic structures are similar to those in the human eye.
Most diagrams of the eye show a cross-section to illustrate the locations of all the important parts of the eye.
We will open the front of the eye, which will allow us to examine the lens and the ciliary body, with its ligaments. The ligaments hold the lens in place. We can also view most of the retina at the back of the eye.
