The VJC Amazing eco-STEM Race is a competition held as part of the VJC Science & Technology Centre’s STEM Festival. It engages upper secondary students in a fast-paced, hands-on challenge that tests their STEM knowledge, analytical thinking, and ability to apply classroom learning to real-world sustainability issues.

Participants will complete a series of STEM-based tasks related to environmental sustainability within a fixed time, and teams will be scored based on both speed and accuracy.

Important Dates:

Registration deadline: 8 July 2026 (Wednesday)

Competition date: 24 July 2026 (3.30 pm to 5.30 pm)

Target Group:

Open to all upper secondary students.

Competition Details:

1. Each school may send up to 2 teams, with 3-4 students per team.

2. This event is Free of Charge. 

3. Teams will perform multiple tasks or experiments under time constraints; all centred on the theme of Sustainability.

4. Judging criteria will be briefed on the competition day.
