this is my presentation with my three teammate and is a special experience for me, the type of presentation is called PechaKucha, you can only use 20 second per slide and the number of slide is about 20 slide, the tempo is very fast and i only have about one hour to make it and to finish it, is very hard for me specially for remembering the lines i want to say. is whole new experience for me and is cool i hope i can do better next time cause u think i look at my script a bit too much and that is a big part waiting for me to improve, i hope i can do better next time and having more experience like this.
i wrote page 13 to 17, is about where our game get inspire from and is from Monopoly and paper please, and explain how my game work and what players need to do
this is my group's game set and its about the trip we go on and the main theme about the muesem is White Terro, we learn about the past about thew country i live in, also the part i learn the most is about Rights and Authority, how people use it in the bad way and how bad can the situation be if it happen again, i think learning from the past can promote our behavior and alert myself so its a really good exprience to visit and learn from the past.
this is our presentation about a tribe warrior who have to hunt and attack other tribe so he can earn money to buy food for his tribe and keep his tribe alive, i was playing tournment so i cant help my teammate in presenting but i help to design and named the game.
this is the outline of our group and its talking about right for indegious people
This is our first outline about White Terror. We create a concept about a game of being a victim of a White Terror event, and during that time, how would you save yourself? Through this game, we aim to provide players with a deeper understanding of our history. We believe people can learn better by playing games and experiencing themself instead of giving them a history class.
Our main theme in this outline is talking about indigenous people's rights and drawing more people's attention to them, and addressing the problem, we don't have to solve them all cause we don't have that much power, but the point we are trying to say is what their problems are and how we can have it better.
This outline is about migrant's problems they are facing. In Taiwan, there are lots of migrant workers, who help our society a lot by taking care of old people's health, taking care of kids, although this kind of job doesn't seem to play a big role today, but it is an important things that we have to have, so our goal is to make people to be able to sympathize with them, understand their hardships, and defend their rights.
This is our decision after our group discussed choosing from the previous work, which is White Terror, Indigenous people, and Migrant workers. We chose Indigenous peoples for our final project, and we decided that our game to be a game to play a role as a warrior of a tribe and solve problems during the adventure, and make players learn during that.
This is kind of our final project, which is about the Taiwanese tribe Puyuma. The storyline is player is a warrior in Puyuma, and you have to save your tribe by attacking other tribes. To do that is to answer questions and traditional Taiwan indigenous people, and specifically about the Puyuma.
These two posters address the injustices faced by the Puyuma Indigenous people and introduce an educational game to help players experience these challenges. Through research, interviews, and feedback, we continuously improved the game's design and its relevance to real historical events. Player feedback enhanced their understanding of inequality, cultural loss, and the importance of Indigenous traditions. In conclusion, this project demonstrates how interactive games can effectively raise awareness of social issues and foster a deeper understanding and respect for Indigenous communities.
Through this project, we learned how to turn cultural stories into a playable game and how teamwork helps bring different ideas together. I also learned more about the importance of planning, creativity, and communication in game design. It was fun to see our ideas become something interactive, and it made me appreciate how games can be used to share and protect cultural knowledge.
this the summary of my whole interview and my interview is about project, game and introducing our game to others and to get how they feel about our game.
this is the script for our interview, is basiclly all the stuff we're talking about
During the interview, I learned that the game’s storyline and process were clear and engaging, especially the way questions about the Puyuma people help players earn energy. The feedback highlighted that connecting the game to the Sustainable Development Goals, which are the SDGs, could make the project stronger and more meaningful. I also realized that our group is progressing well, as we have already completed the posters and the game process. Overall, the main improvement is to better link our project to the SDGs to enhance its purpose and impact.
The biggest takeaway from the analysis was that connecting our game to the SDGs would make the message clearer and more meaningful. It helped us see that our game isn’t just about answering questions, but about understanding why protecting Puyuma culture matters. Because of this, we adjusted the game design to show the importance of traditions and how unfair rules can affect people’s lives.
The first thing i learn from this assignment is how to interview people and how to make the interview long for about 10 mins, is a bit too long for me at first but after a few practice, i can make my interview about 10 mins, and also how to prepare interview is also a huge lession to learn, this oppurtunity is very important to me.
A mock exhibition helps me to recognize my strengths and weaknesses through feedback from other classes. As usual, we present our posters and games to the audience and answer their questions. Most of the problems concern the game; for example, how does the game address the DQ? These are the main problems for us. On the contrary, our strength is speaking confidently and with humor.
This is our team, I'm the one on the left, and Ian, Quintin, and Russell are from left to right. My role is making the game at first, but afterward it turned out to be Ian making the game and I'm making the poster and other stuff.
