This book is talking about "Stanley Yelnats", the main character. Because of a misunderstanding, I was sent to a Camp Green Lake. Although his name contains the word "Lake", there is no water there.

This is my Compare and contrast assey
After learning this semester, we’ve been through two books on the same topic which is a relationship, “The Boy Who Harness The Wind.” It is our first book, it's about a boy from Wimbe, Malawi, in Southeastern Africa, its summary is a kid called William went through drought and hunger with his family because of no rain, he likes Science very much even though his family couldn't afford him to go to school he still learns by himself and builds a wind generate windmill to get water and electricity, this book’s relationship is about family. The second book, its name is called “Holes” is a Fictional Story located in Texas It is about a kid called Stanley having a family curse for generations after he got sent to Camp Green Lake for stealing a pair of shoes from a famous baseball player, he met a guy called Hector then they dig holes together they ran away from camp for their different reasons and they accidentally finish their family by taking Hector up a mountain and drink the water and sing a song, after that, they went back the camp to dig a treasure, for this book, the relationship is friendship, but the main characters have many difference and same part, I'm gonna compare them and break down into a different point.
First of all, I want to compare their educational background and learning process,
William’s education only up to primary school graduation, after he finishes the windmill and makes the world know him, a guy brings him to another country for university but that is the afterward so I won't compare it in the future text, and on the other hand, Stanley’s education is up to junior high when he first got arrested, so I will compare it as a junior high school student, in William’s story I where to learn that you don't have to be highly educated to be a success as long as you have the effort to understand and enough curiosity for the thing you like, for Stanley, even though he didn't get success, but knowing how to write and read is pretty awesome at the street he lives, most of the kids there are orphan or homeless, there are few of them who attend classes. Communication skills are important and useful at Camp Green Lake including teaching Hector to read and start the whole story and finish the family curse. The same part that they have in common is they both finished elementary school but not junior high, and the difference is one of them went on a way that led to inventing things and helping his village, and the other one got arrested, so I think education is not important compared to learning effort.
The second point for comparison is Responsibility and hardship, I think William’s sense of responsibility is much stronger than Stanley’s, in some of the events that we can know that William’s responsibility was much stronger than Stanley’s, For example, when famine came, instead of running away he stayed and made the windmill so everyone in his village can have water and electricity to live on, although he didn’t help to do the farming at all From my view, as a 13 ager, staying and make the windmill is good enough for him. Stanley, after stealing the shoe, blames all the failure on his great-grandfather, he thinks he didn't do anything wrong, which just makes me feel like he didn't have responsibility at all, but the hardship part Stanley’s is more difficult than William because Stanley almost die in the desert and nobody will know but I think William’s is also hard but just not harder then Stanley, he buries his favorite dog and been through the family so I think their life is both hard.
And the third point I want to mention to show their difference is their relationship and community, is it healthy? Does it work well or will it affect them, for William, his main community and the area he stays in the most is his home and his family members, I think his relationship with others was very well because the way he treated others was pretty nice, but there was a time that was everyone thinks he is a weirdo who collects things from the garbage dump, but only that time his relationship with others was awful, after that his relationship was very good, everyone in that village know him and find him to charge their phone that generated from the windmill that William made. Stanley’s relationship is more with his friend instead of his family in the story, and his relationship is worse than William’s, at the beginning of the story, he gets bullied by others in the camp, people think he is different from everyone else in the camp, after being the friend with other kids in the camp his relationship went very good and it goes down when he has a conflict with Zigzag, but when he drove the truck away, everyone like him very much because he did a thing that everyone would like to do but no one has that encouragement to do so, that is the difference in relationship part between this two main characters.
But back to the overall picture, I admire William the most because in my view, William’s hardness is much harder than Stanley’s, I personally think that William have to be really brave and so obsession to Science, didn’t like Stanley, all the thing he did is more like he was force to do so, not he want to and like to do, in the position like William, is very hard to keep your habit on the first position, so that is one of the point that I’m admiring on, on the other side, William have much more responsibility than Stanley, in many different facts then we can knew that, I think Willian’s life is difficult so that why I think I admire William more.
