Unit 1: Bedroom Redesign
Introduce Unit: In this project we learned Feng Shui and Automation, I use these two techniques to help my bedroom change to a better place to live in. The driving question I made is "How can I redesign my bedroom by using automation and Feng Shui to make it more safety and relaxing to live in?" At first, I think about the main teo problems I got in my bedroom, one is "many many sharp edges and corners," and the second one is "little bit messy so not enough space for my pet dog to play and sleep." SDGs 9 is the goal for this project, it's a goal of "Support domestic technology development, research and innovation in developing countries, including by ensuring a conducive policy environment for, inter alia, industrial diversification and value addition to commodities." And we are focused on the "9.B.", in a simple way to describe it, which is a official way, "Supporting domestic scientific and technological research and innovation in developing countries."
What do you learned/applied: I have learned Feng Shui, automation, scale, and floor plan. First, Feng Shui is about the energy flow, lights to windows to doors, and how will the light goes around the room, where should I settle things that is the best for me and the room. Second, the automation, automation makes us more convenient, and improve the difficulty that we have, I use it for the door, curtains, lights, and wardrobe, but at the final part, I choose lights, so that automation lights can help solve the waste electricity problem when I forgot to close it. Last, for the scale & floor plan, these connect each other the most, scale the room first, then do the floor plan after it, when the scaling is done I will know that how long and how big for everything, especially the room's space.

The mood board is to shows what are the important things, objects that you have.
The automatation is about the lights, it can turn on and off by your voice, you can setting what do you want it to remember about the words for on and off.
This is the presentation of my bedroom redesign project. Change the bedroom into a more safty and relaxing place for me to rest.
What could I improve?
I can improve more on the "automation" and "Mood board" part. In the automation part I felt like I didn't do well, automation light is already be made, and even more professional company and people are doing better and better. My Automation Logic is way too simple , and might has some mistakes? So I need to change this part too! Next time I should think more deep and find something that is more useful and new to do the automation with it, like curtains. For the Mood board part, it's totally a disaster, it didn't even looks like a mood board, I just putted objects' names, and nothing else. Mood board should be having the stuff that you have in your room (important objects, not everything), and I didn't do that, so this, part of my project is not finished. Next time, I should remember and also learn more about the mood board, so I won't make my project looks un-done.
Collaboration and Feedback:
In this Unit one, because it's individual so that makes us need to do by ourselves, but I did search for some helps, which is my both PBL teachers, and also "Leo, and my father." Mr. Andre and Ms. Blackwood solves and gave my suggestions a lot, I can see and feel more clearly every time after I asked them. Leo is a very good partner (friend / classmate), he always can gives me helpful suggestions, and point out some strange parts, he really helped me a lot. My father, he was studying on the interior design for his college life, and he did very well on it, so he should be a interior designer now, but life always gives you many challenge and spread roads right? So his life does~ And now his not a designer but also a great worker in his job. He use his knowledge to help and suggest me in many parts, like "where I did wrong, where I should change, where is not good enough." That makes me can do this project more smooth, confident and successful. After I having all these helps and supports, I learned much more during this project. Leo and teacher also gaves me feedback about what can I improve, did well, and not did well. That makes me can improve more next time, and think about why I did wrong, where I did wrong, how I did wrong, and how can I change.
How does this connect to other classes?
This connect to other classes because for exmaples "Math class, we need to scale the room, and scale it correctly, so we need to calculate." "Art class, when we are drawing what we have scaled, or done, mood board making, and designing, we need a great art skill."
Classroom
Before the classroom redesign our homeroom is easily to get a high temperature. Sunlights shine in straight through to in here. Air flow blocks. Door always be forgotten to close. Has some space can't use not reasonable.
In this part, Me and my partners spread into indivitual to ask "Anndor, Ashley, Audrey, and Shelby group." It's about asking them what they think about the improvements could have for this classroom, and the reason why.
Classroom
After classroom redesigned, the air is much more easier to comes in and out, air flow around the room. Less surface area be heating up by sunlights. Has natural power to makes energy. More eco-friendly environment.
This logic diagram is to control doors, when it notice that there's actions close to it, it can automately open, if the button is not be pressed, then it won't close, so it'll close if you press the button. It will also detect if there's no one around it for 10 second, then close. A automation door that can makes the cold air keep leaving the room if people forgot to close the door.

This is our group final presentation of Unit 2 - Classroom Redesign. We all did a great job, and I was very enjoying working with them, it's a excellent team!
Collaboration & Feedback:
Overall, I felt like I was improved more than the Unit 1, I understand more about our topic of this semester's PBL. I learned more about scale, automation, Feng Shui, making driving questions, SDG 11, problem solving, making mood board, floor plan, logic diagram, coding, making your own design. Me and my teammates keep discussing till we have a answer that everyone can accept, even though we always have some difficulty while we are finding the answers. During we are making this project, every parts is going well except of some accidents, so that's better than I except. "Take a look" is a great action in this project, for example I take a look, look around the room, and I did find out some interesting factors that will have a negative impact to this classroom. Like "there are not having many cover on the roof, so that makes this room has a many surface area that is easily be heating up the sun, sunlights is very easy to go straight into this room, and the air flow is not very smooth and much so that also makes this room's temperature always goes up, and hard to goes down." We also started to thinking about those people with "disabilities," how can we help them and not just the people that always can do things by themselves, who don't have any disabilities. When we started to notice and focus on what kind of disabilities are more familiar and have many people have them in this world, so that we can make the environments become a sustainable but also for all kinds of people, all kinds of needs. A friendly environments for everyone. Teamwork is hard, but we also improving in every time that we are in the same group, so we know each other more and make a stronger and suitable relationships. I like this unit, and the group that we have in this unit, make a better place... we might not change a place "very better," but better indeed, I feel proud of myself, and otherselves. Design is not just "design," it's about how you present the creative, goals, and your thoughts. Design your own life, design a life that you won't forget when you need to leave this world behind~
Memories time...
It's very excited for me about how far and how our exhibition will be, the last exhibition that we are having in Junior High, say goodbye to the junior life, step into the youngest grade in senior high, and learn those harder and more knowledge, make more friends, meet new people, walk in the different road with others, but also walk in a different road that don't have some old friends, flying without some partners, see the challenges with different people, make a new style exhibition with some brand new faces. Scare but Excited, how stupid am I, but also how brave we are. 4 years later we are no longer we are get into another new world, college, social community, jobs, feed ourselves, and choose more roads.
