Dear Children and Parents,
We hope you had a good week last week and that you are all enjoying the activities on our blog each week.Last week your parents had a chance to go to school and collect your belongings.We hope the textbooks will make life a lot easier for all of you and allow lots of independent work from you all. As always we will strongly reiterate that this is an outline of suggested work where you choose and adapt to your person home life situation.
It is really so important that you all make a special effort to keep in contact with your teachers every week .it is very important we hear from you. If you don't want to submit work for the blog that is ok but just send us a hi email .We miss hearing from you.Let's make a very special effort this week and get a hi email from every child in 4th class

CĂşla4 is on TG4 every day at 10am and is excellent.Make a special effort to tune in to keep up with the Gaeilge.

Below is a suggested outline of home work and continuing class work for the coming week.
Avicii has a part to play in our Irish for this week! Some of you would have started this song before the break for the rest of you Bain Taitneamh As (enjoy!)
We will be looking at Summer vocabulary and some exercises to practice. Try to bà ag caint as gaeilge gach lá even if it's just a few words or a few lines, ag cleacthadh ( practising) is the best form of learning.
This week we are looking at the topic of how to use a calculator. You can follow the work in page 16 and 17 of your Mathemagic book. If you don't have a calculator at home use a parent's phone or app on your device to practice your calculator skills
Better Maths: Unit 30 - The answers to last week's Unit 30 are below. Congratulations ,well done we're finished Better Maths!!!
This week we are covering the story ' ' The Lady of Stavoren' and accompanying exercises. There is also a lovely poem "Smiles" which hopefully brings a little smile to all your faces.

This week in Science we are discovering all about Bridges and the wonderful structures that they are .

Our English story this week speaks of being grateful. This week we are going to look at how gratitude plays a big part in how we see ourselves and the world we live in.

Get creative with a Grateful Collage.
Stretching is very important before and after any exercise. Choose 5 and perform for 30 secs before moving on to the next one.
Cardiovascular is to do with our heart rate. Getting our heart rates up is very important for our health. Perform 5 of the above for 1 minute and repeat if you can.
Endurance is how long we can stay at an exercise. Choose 3 and perform for 30 secs. Each time you try them try to add 2 seconds to your endurance time.
