Week 1

Be sure to follow each step and take time to learn and practice the skill or activity!


Objective: Students can use self-feedback to make adjustments that will improve performance.

Let's look further into fitness, function, and form!

Lesson #1 monday/tuesday

Step 1: Warm-UP- Get your body warmed up with some dynamic stretching before you start today's lesson.

Step 2: Fitness Workout- Follow along the workout video and give your best effort. Remember form is most important and have some fun!

Step 3: Share or show with someone......

  1. Show someone some new skills that you learned today.

  2. Show them the hardest skill, funnest skill, and a skill that you were really good at.

  3. Share some of the activities with your sibling, parent, or a friend and teach them how to do it correctly.

  4. Create and share a new skill that you can do with with someone.

You did it! You finished your first online Adventure PE lesson! Great job!

Lesson #2 Wednesday/Thursday class

Step 1: Warm-UP- Start today's lesson with some dynamic stretching.

Step 2: Go over each exercise in the chart below and try it. This work out is done with no weights in order to help you work on your form first.

  1. Do each fitness skill 5 times the first time with me in the video and really work on form. You can pause or rewind video anytime that you need a break or a review.

  2. Then do each skill in front of the mirror or in front of someone to get feedback. Correct anything that needs adjusted.

  3. Do each fitness skill 5 more times on your own(or follow the video again if you need to) taking a 1 minute break in-between each one.

-Ask someone to give you feedback on your form. Or, use a mirror if you have one to help give yourself feedback. Also, have your water next to you.


Step 3: Let's check out your fitness skills.....

Take 15 minutes to explore and reflect your fitness skills. Explore the steps below and do each question(not a written assignment, just think the answer and try the task). Be creative, give full effort, and have fun!

  1. What is a fitness skill that you already knew? Show and teach that skill to someone near you!

  2. How many fitness skills can you remember without looking at the chart? Do each skill one time!

  3. How well did you do on correcting your form? Take time to work on the fitness skills that maybe need better form!

  4. Did you use someone to give you feedback? Did you use a mirror to check your own form? Make sure to do this!

  5. If you gave your best effort and stayed focused on the task..... give yourself a Big Air High-5!!!!

  6. Can you do some of the skills that you learned this week and then research a new one? Look online or ask someone to teach you a fitness skill that isn't on the chart!

  7. If you feel that you can add a little weight..... find two cans of food(such as canned peas or soup) and hold one in each hand and try the fitness skill.

Step 4: Take the Assessment: Please take the assessment quiz by Sunday of week #1 and ask for help with reading and understanding if needed. However, answer with your own thinking.

*Weekly Assessment Check-in:

  1. Please log into: https://classroom.google.com

  2. Accept the invitation and take the Week 1: 3rd grade assignment

  3. Make sure that you select the correct week and grade level:)!!!3.

  4. Press the SUBMIT button when you are done with the assignment.

First week done! Remember to get 60 minutes of activity everyday! Fuel your body with "greenlight" foods! And get outside and create some amazing adventures!
