ABOUT ME
Welcome! My name is Zoe Blanton. I was born in China and was adopted by two of the most loving parents anyone could ask for. I've lived in Evergreen Colorado a majority of my life. I moved to Fort Collins when I started college, and I've explored a variety of media throughout my time at Colorado State University (CSU) but nothing compares to the feeling of holding a pencil and drawing whatever comes to mind.
I knew from a young age that teaching was a path I wanted to seek out. Art as always been a way of expressing myself when I didn't have the words of saying how I felt. I am passionate about pursuing a career as an elementary school art teacher. I believe creativity is an important part of a child's development and I want to foster an environment where students can explore their artistic potential as well as be able to help them express themselves in creative ways.
In this portfolio, you’ll find examples of my hands on experiences, teaching philosophy, and the creative approaches I plan to use in the classroom to inspire young minds. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to sharing my journey with you!
