Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Therapy HBOT

Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Therapy

Thanks to our friend OxyBarix, Yuyu Acupuncture is now offering Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Therapy (HBOT). However, what is HBOT? HBOT is a safe, non-pharmaceutical, non-invasive therapy where the patient is given PURE oxygen. A patient lies down inside of a capsule or chamber and the air in the chamber is pressurized at 1.3 times the normal atmospheric pressure. Oxygen is physically pressurized and dissovled into plasma, lymph, and distal tissues which stimulates the body's natural healing process.

The increased pressure drives the oxygen into hypoxic areas of the body due to trauma, inflammation, swelling, infection, and stress. This breaks down the cycle of swelling, oxygen starvation, and tissue death. Blood carries oxygen which helps to fight infection/bacteria, reduce inflammation, and promote angiogenesis which promotes faster healing of wounds.

Offered Services

  1. HBOT DIVE (60 min) : $105

    1. Client will enter the chamber and lie down. There are two zippers that open and close the chamber, and one OPEN/CLOSE air valve. Valve will be closed.

    2. Air pressure will increase inside the chamber and you will feel the pressure change in your ears. It feels similar to descending on a plane from 10,000 feet or diving to the deep end of a pool.

    3. Once the chamber is completely filled, you will hear the excess air escape throughout the head of the chamber. This is when the HBOT DIVE begins. Relax for 60 - 90 - 120 minutes.

    4. If at any moment you feel uncomfortable or not "right", please let us know and we will immediately discontinue the treatment for you.

  2. HBOT DIVE (90 min) : $150

  3. HBOT DIVE (120 min) : $175

What can HBOT help with?

There are 14 FDA-approved indications for the use of HBOT in the United States, including decompression sickness, cabron monoxide injury, diabetic foot ulcer, and etc.

Current studies indicate HBOT helps promote regeneration of tissue growth at bone and tissue meaning beneficial for burns and non-healing wounds. HBOT is also indicated to help treat any infection of bone or skin such as gangrene and cyanide poisoning. It improves circulation, is beneficial for anyone who is anemic, or experience compromised skin grafts and flaps.

HBOT is currently being used in hospitals to treat delayed chemo-radiation therapy injury and traumatic brain injury. HBOT is also being used to improve sleep, promote mental clarity, boost memory and improve balance in the elderly.

Recent studies are also showing HBOT has anti-aging effects by lengthening telomeres.

Patients can use HBOT everyday depending on their health conditions. It has been shown to be beneficial for Diabetics with lower extremities non-healing wounds, Divers, Miners, Firefighters, athletes, anemic, and geriatrics with decreasing cognitive abilities.
