Citrus Leather Tools
Citrus Leather Tools
The machines were specially designed to work with citrus peels.
The development of these tools was an important part of turning the peels into a real raw material, as part of the "Orange Peel" project and raised a conversation about a fast producing industry over a slow and laborious craft.
The work tools were produced using 3D printing laser cutting and, CNC shortening techniques.

Grinding the pulp,
and drying it on cloth
The peel is not the only bi-product left after squeezing the orange, it also has the seeds, membranes and bags of juice = the pulp.
I worked with it in the form of grinding, spreading and drying on cloth.
And strong sheets came out in a variety of colors.
