Donating Blood

The United States' blood supply is running dangerously low. According to Chris Hrouda, the president of biomedical services for the American Red Cross, "our inventories have been cut in half." Because of Covid-19, there have been many fewer people donating blood, either because of restrictions (social distancing, stay-at-home orders), or because people are worried to. Blood shortages mean hospitals and doctors are put in a position where they have to decide who gets blood. Now more than ever it is extremely important to donate.
