Youthserve nyc 2020 School Year Recap

Thank you so much to everyone for a great school year! Throughout the year, YouthServe NYC continued to offer a variety of ways for young people to connect with the community and with each other on important causes and through meaningful service work.

This year, we took what we had built in Summer 2020, continued that work, and grew our list of service opportunities to meet timely needs, especially in the areas of:

New Partnerships and In-Person Service: We created lasting and meaningful partnerships with a number of volunteer organizations, including:

Virtual Volunteering: YouthServe NYC participants also continued to participate in remote volunteering, including:

Speaker Series: YouthServe NYC hosted a monthly speaker series with terrific and inspiring leaders from across the city. All zoom recordings of these events are on the website and YouTube Channel. Speakers from this year included:

Drives: Lastly, YouthServe NYC organized and participated in three drives, including a toy/book drive with the Bloomingdale Family Program (see photos here), a food drive with NY Common Pantry (see photos here), and a coat drive with New York Cares.
