- No classes on the two May Bank Holidays -
An in-person yoga class for all levels and abilities in a beautiful, large and wonderfully well-ventilated hall, with a warm and friendly local community.
The practice is adaptable be more dynamic or more restful, or anywhere in between, whichever suits you best in each moment.
Keeping some windows open, we always breathe fresh air, and have a gentle opportunity of staying in tune and connection with the life of the natural world around us, as well as with the shifting seasons.
This can be wonderfully helpful in allowing our practices of awareness, of listening and responding and of release, both in the moment in class, and also bridging these practices more easily into our lives also off the yoga mat - of being able to invite groundedness and spaciousness, calmness and connection whatever our outer circumstances.
Thanks to the ventilation and size of our space, this is a also welcome environment for those who prefer to minimise risk of infections, whether for their own health reasons, or to protect others.
* Please see note below for a space which can be entirely outdoors, too.
----> Everyone brings their own kit, whether made up of household items such
as most of us have at home, or yoga-specific kit. The most useful item to bring
would be a yoga mat. It you have yoga-specific kit, please bring block/s, brick/s, a belt, a blanket
or two.
Brilliant DIY alternatives are a blanket or towel (or two), some kind of strap (scarf, bathrobe belt, old tights, luggage strap, etc), a few books (even thin ones are useful), maybe a cushion. Even a rolled up spare jumper can be wonderful!
Radiators are on in the cooler seasons, however due to the nature of the class (we keep some open windows even in cooler months for all the above mentioned reasons) it is warmly recommended to bring extra layers for cosiness, and perhaps even a thermos of a favourite warm drink.
It will be understood that everyone attending is committed to looking after everyone else attending by keeping some distance, not attending if having Covid-19 symptoms and so on
----> To book a space, please message Ocean at oceanamma@gmail.com, or on 07986 124219 and complete this form before attending - www.yogawithocean.co.uk/new-student-form (alternatively, you can fill in a paper copy before class). Please also let Ocean know if you cannot attend after all, so that the space can go to someone else. Thank you!
You are always welcome to message Ocean with any questions, or about anything that is going on for you, physically, health-wise or otherwise, that it would be great for her to be aware of during class.
Warmly welcome!
* There is one space for anyone who would like to both arrive and attend completely
outdoors in a small attached garden, whilst still seeing and hearing all the teaching. In case of
a downpour, if the person is comfortable to, they can also be in a “half-in-half-out” area, staying dry whilst entirely in fresh air. Please mention when booking if this is the space you want.
