On this page I have included my favorite poems with my understanding of it. Some of these poems I have studied during my graduation.

1. "She walks in Beauty" - Lord Byron
Lord Byron has very beautifully presented the connection between inner beauty and external beauty. The lady has fair skin and big eyes but she also has innocence in her eyes and purity in her mind.
2. The Eagle - A poem by Alfred Tennyson
The eagle has to come down on earth for food if he wants to survive. One can only survive in this world if the person can balance between position and politeness.
3. The Slave's Dream - by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
Longfellow has presented the desires of freedom by a slave and harsh reality of his life in reality that he is not able to free himself from slavery in dream also.
4. When We Two Parted - By George Gordon Byron
The poet expresses his feeling of being separate from someone and he recalls the past.
5. Ode on Solitude - By Alexander Pope
‘Solitude’ is the best stage of life. mostly people connects it with loneliness but it not about being lonely but it is about being happy in the company of our self.
6. આપી આપી ને તમે પીંછુ આપો - Poems by Vinod Joshi
This is my 101st blog, I have dedicated it to my favorite poet Prof. Vinod Joshi. Vinod Joshi is one of my favorite poets. His poems easily connect with our heart and express our feelings.
7. Prayer before Birth - By Louise MacNeice
The child is not yet born but it contains the understanding towards the world and its dark sides.
8. “A Fine Day” - Michael Drayton
There are no clouds in the sky and the atmosphere is bright with the “heaven’s most glorious light”....
9. The Night has a Thousand Eyes - Francis William Bourdillon
This poem expresses the connection and importance of heart and mind. Thousands of stars cannot beat the brightness of sun and the highest IQ level cannot beat the feelings of heart.
