Profile of participants for the Youth Exchange
The Youth exchange will take place in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria between 19-29 August 2021.
It will bring together 48 young people and youth workers from all 9 partners in the project.
Each group of participants will consist of 4 young people and 1 group leader (no age limit).
The participants will be 18-30 years old with a focus on the category of 18-25 years old.
A selection procedure will be applied in order to assure first of all people in NEETs category will join the project, as well as the gender balance is welcomed.
The youth exchange welcomes participants who are young people with not much experience in youth activities and even in extracurricular activities, but instead they have a real motivation to participate, learn, improve and put into practice all the methods they will learn during the youth exchange. People who like the idea of interacting with people from other cultures and exchange ideas on different topics and are eager to do something for their communities and for their peers.
The methodology used during the youth exchange is highly participatory, each of the national groups having to prepare session, workshop and activities during the Exchange. The methods used will be but not reduced to, simulation games, energizers and group dynamic methods, role-plays debates and also complex methods like Theatre, Adventure Learning, Flash-mobs, Treasure Hunts, etc.

You will be informed about the selection by 23th July 2021.
After the selection of the participants you will receive an answer from your sending organization! Please don't book the tickets for flights/train/bus (economy class) until confirmed with the organiser. We will inform you also about the current Covid-19 situation in Bulgaria.

Preparation for the Youth Exchange
1) You should bring typical food and drinks from your countries!
We will have traditional evenings during the project. Unfortunately, we don’t have budget to reimburse you the expenses made for the things that you are bringing, but try to be creative and funny! You can bring typical costumes, ornaments, leaflets, posters, flyers, food, sweets, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks… and so on! There is no possibility to cook, using the kitchen because of Covid-19 restrictions and the fact we will be sharing the hotel with other groups.
2) Spread the Culture
For activities, you can bring with you: traditional games from your country or region, photos, cultural objects from your region/town. Beside, please bring cameras, if you have, to create videos and take photos or and laptops with editing software for photos, brochures and videos. You can show videos, photos, sing and dance traditional dances from your countries! If you are playing a music instrument, let us know, we would love to provide you with some so we can have fun together. We are counting on you to make these evenings as interesting as possible and promise to help you in any way that we can!
3) Mind the weather
Considering that most of the activities will be held outdoors on the green grass and the temperatures in August will be around 35 Celsius degrees, please make sure you will bring suitable clothes, hats, comfortable shoes and sun cream factor +50.
