Work Spaces

I was several weeks into my new X-Carve and Easel before I discovered the usefulness of Workspaces. When you start using them you will find you are less frustrated and more productive with your machine.

Here's an example of using work spaces. This is a sign using one of Phil Johnson's awesome DXF Sign Pack designs.

Work space #1: This is where I carve the rugged edges with a 60 degree vbit.

Work space #2: Carving another graphic with a 1/32 down cut bit.

Work space #3: Carving the lettering with a 60 degree vbit.

Work space #4: Cutting out the sign shape using a 1/8 straight cut bit.

Utilizing the work spaces makes it easy to do multiple stage carving.

Tip: Create a new work space. Then go to your original work space and copy or cut the portion of the design you want to move to the second work space. When you paste it, it will be in the exact same position as it was before you copy/cut it.
