Tiffany Hyde has resided in Plum since 2019, though she was born and raised just over the county border in Penn Trafford (class of 2006). She is the recipient of a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California University of PA and has been employed with the Commonwealth of PA since 2015 - initially, as a Caseworker in the Greensburg County Assistance Office and currently as a Licensing Analyst for the PLCB. Tiffany also served six years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a Motor Transport Operator and previously served as a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT in Level Green. Currently, Tiffany is involved in our community as the President for both the O’Block Elementary PTO and the Holiday Park Intermediate PTO and as the Vice President for the Plum PTO President’s Council. While serving on these Boards, Tiffany has been a leader in creating new and exciting opportunities for the students and their families in ways that afforded a space for all children, including implementing and maintaining a free Birthday Book Vending Machine, removing financial barriers by offering family scholarships, and coordinating with the administration to start Lunch With a Loved One.
Tiffany feels strongly that politics should not play a part in the decisions of a School Board, as all students and community members vary and all deserve representation - these decisions deserve to be addressed by balancing heart and head simultaneously. Considering Tiffany’s background, student safety and providing a variety of economically sound opportunities is tantamount, equalized with the needs of the entire community. She also has a unique perspective of harmonizing parental interaction with the needs of the school, and looks forward to elevating those abilities. She never shies away from hard work and will continue this as a Plum Borough School Director.
