Active- Officers are considered Active by default, the requirements are as follows
Patrol at least 5 hours total a week
You are given a grace period of 7 days of complete inactivity before being moved down to inactive.
Inactive - Officers are considered inactive after failing to adhere to the guidelines set in Active, after their grace period expires. This will also forfet special PD events such as Raids and other high interest events.
Once Officers are marked inactive, they will have 14 additional days to regain meeting the requirements listed in Active or forfit any Subdivision Certifications.
7 days after your certifications are revoked, you will be Terminated from the LSPD with the chance to reapply. (in total 1 month)
LOA - An officer can request a leave of absence if they are not going to be present for more than 7 days. This is to give notice, so you aren't put on the inactive list, and punished as follows. LOAs can be any amount of time, from a week, to up to 6 months or more depending on the reason given. LOA's for more than 1 month will need to be done through a verbal meeting with a member of command.
Echo (E) - General Patrol Force
Sierra (S) - Detective
Charley (C) - Supervisors
Bravo (B) - Field Command Unit
Alpha (A) - Department Command Unit
Chain of Command
The Chain of Command is a linear structure and shall be followed as such.
Failure to Follow the Chain of Command will ensure disciplineary action is taken.
If an Officer has an issue on Patrol, You should bring this issue up with a Sergeant.
If the Sergeant is unable to resolve the issue, He is to bring it up with either the Patrol Captain, or the Division Captain.
If the Captain is unable to resolve the issue, he will address the rest of High Command until the issue is resolved.
In Short:
A patrol Officer should not be going to the Captain, Chief, or Deputy Chief for any issues they have on patrol.
Promotions will be given to officers who the command feels set themselves apart from other officers in terms of professionalism, maturity, job knowledge, and the strive to want to better the department as a whole.
Every rank in the LSPD will come with its own set of important responsibilities that each officer will be expected to conduct.
Do not ask for promotions. Asking for promotions may lead to a demotion or disciplinary actions.
Some Roles such as supervisory roles will open up, and you will be required to hold an interview and written exam before being promoted.
All Officers are required to adhere to the Uniform Guidelines AT ALL TIMES while on duty.

The “Unmarked CID Cars” Shall not be used for pursuits, for ANY Reason. Including by CID.
Failure to follow this guideline will result in removal of any permission to use these vehicles, and a Writeup.
All Officers are required to carry a City Hall Government ID at all times while acting in the capacity as a police officer, and show it upon request.
Failure to do so will result in a Writeup, and Possible court actions
All Officers are expected to follow the chain of command, any disrespect to a Supervisor will not be tolerated.
Officers are to be rolled out of MRPD in a timely Manner, (You shouldn’t be sitting at MRPD for 45 minutes without a good reason.) If you need to stay at MRPD for an extended period, Clock off duty.
Failure to do so will result in a Level 1 Writeup
Supervisors are expected to be leading in the field, responding to calls in a MARKED Police Car.
Supervisors shall be in a professional uniform, that meets the Uniform Guidelines
Supervisors are expected to help any trainee when on duty, and mentor them when needed.
Sergeants have a 1 Strike Policy. Failure to follow department Policy will result in a demotion in rank effective immediately.
PATROL OFFICER
Patrol Officers will be charged with the day to day operations of the Department by responding to calls for emergency service and enforcing traffic regulations of the city.
Speed Enforcement Unit (SEU)
SEU Will be a special driving section who are authorized to utilize vehicles that are faster than the average patrol vehicle. They will mainly be utilized for high speed pursuits that normal PD vehicles would not be able to keep up with.
Metropolitan Division (Metro) / SWAT
Metro is our Fast Acting Team of on call SWAT. They patrol as normal, however take any violent priority calls. They act as a fast acting SWAT force when it in unavailable to activate the full SWAT team.
SWAT will be a team assembled around the basics of hand to hand combat and weapons tactics. SWAT will be utilized in the situation where heavy weaponry is needed, barricaded suspects, or active shooter situations.
CRIMINAL INTELLIGENCE DIVISION (CID)
CID will focus on the criminal investigations of crimes, such as murders, robberies, and hideouts for criminals.
CID is filled with multiple divisions, including the Gang Enforcement / Intelligence Unit
AIR SUPERIORITY UNIT (ASU)
ASU will be trained to fly the LSPD helicopter. ASU will be trained in pursuit tactics and maneuverability of the B412 Helicopter within the city.
FIELD TRAINING OFFICER (FTO)
FTO’s will be charged with the completion of all training for cadets, and will also lead department training when needed.
