Music & Arts - Lessons!
https://stores.musicarts.com/nc/winstonsalem/music-store-4205.html
We have a BRAND NEW M&A store in Winston-Salem! This is a great place to get your reeds, oils, repairs, and instruments, but more importantly, they offer LESSONS!
Lessons in music are not like when you get lessons in other subjects; usually if you need extra math lessons or tutoring, it's because you are falling behind. When you take music lessons on your instrument, it's actually because you want to get ahead and make improvement REGARDLESS of where you are.
Taking lessons is one of the things that students can do to get honors points, but I encourage ALL band students to take lessons - ESPECIALLY freshmen and sophomores!
Separk Music - Lessons!
https://www.separkmusic.com/lessons
Separk Music is located near West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, NC, and they are similar to M&A in that you can get almost every musical accessory and supply imaginable here, as well as repairs. They also offer lessons!

Use this website to generate unlimited sight-reading material to practice one of the hardest skills musicians can work on - sight reading! You can play with the settings A LOT on this website, so you can mold sight-reading examples to your difficulty and then slowly turn up the heat.
The Complete Marches of John Philip Sousa - US President's Own Marine Band
https://www.marineband.marines.mil/audio-resources/the-complete-marches-of-john-philip-sousa/
This website provides free access to the majority of John Philip Sousa's march catalogue.
Students can use this resource to learn more about marches in general, the history of Sousa's compositions, or as a sight-reading resource.
As a sight reading resource, this is a great place to find music similar to what students will encounter in the music in class.
