Symphonic Band

The West Stokes High School Symphonic Band is made up of approximately 30 students, comprised of students grades 9-12. The instrumentation and curriculum is intended for developing student musicians and focuses on the development of fundamental musical vocabulary and instrumental technique, expressive performance and mature rehearsal habits through performance of grade III-IV concert literature.

The Symphonic Band is open to all high school students at West Stokes who play a wind or percussion instrument. There is no audition requirement for this ensemble. The Symphonic Band performs about 5-6 concerts a year, and also performs annually at the State Music Performance Adjudication festival.
