Across the Summer Institute, we want to deepen our understandings about the teaching of writing. Some of us are new to the profession; others of us have been immersed in this work for years. However, the teaching of writing is multifaceted; there is always more to learn and plenty to reconsider, especially as we face new challenges of these times.
One of the main ways we will work on teaching writing will be in study groups, approximately at level. We will be forming into three main groups: elementary, middle school, and high school/college. The groups will meet on Monday afternoons.
Elementary: Melissa Butler, facilitator; MaryRose Creedon, Amy Guzik, Holly Mawn, Sarah Posti, Melanie Riddle, Gabrielle Sokol, Laura Schiller
Middle School: Michelle King, facilitator; Amy Bouch, Mallory Brown, Lisa Fevola, Dana Grossi, Andrew Miller, Janel Prinkey, Sara Sora
High School/College: Kellie Skweres and Laura Roop, facilitators; Kristen Fischer, Kayleigh Gaborek, James Hommes, Derek Long, Renee Saylor, Danielle Thompson, MaryLu Hutchins, Nicole Peeler
