Welcome! This is the landing page for the 2020 Summer Institute: Teaching to Transform--our first entirely online Invitational Institute for the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project. The Western Pennsylvania Writing Project is a 36 year old university-school partnership and community of passionate, inquiring educators, and one of 175 sites of the National Writing Project. The National Writing Project began in Berkeley, California during the summer of 1974. The first institute was so powerful and meaningful, that a grass-roots movement emerged that has grown and continued. Below, you'll find the overall organizational structure of this section of the site. We'll use this site, Google Folders, Docs, Meet, and Zoom to engage with each other.
