Animals: Many plants and landscapes have been consumed by Nina over the years and as a result, more than a few animals have been introduce into her stomach world. The more dangerous ones have been pushed back to the deeper portions of her stomach, safely away from civilization.
Danger Levels- in relation to an average human.
Harmless: No danger at all. Not even an idiot could hurt themselves with this creature. Butterflies are an example.
Minimal: Usually a small or very peaceful creature. Squirrels are on this level.
Moderate: Possibly dangerous if provoked or agressive, but not powerful. Dog is a good example.
Severe: Aggressive and dangerous. Most average people will not survive the encounter. Sharks, lions and tigers are real world examples.
Colossal: Aggressive, very dangerous and probably very intelligent. Very few beasts are known to be on this level, mostly because almost no one has survived an encounter long enough to accurately describe it.
Terramite-Alone: Minimal, Swarm: Severe
A group of half inch long, termite like creatures that often travel in massive swarms. Individually, they pose no threat to any able bodied human. As a swarm, they can take down far larger creatures in a matter of minutes. There are several castes, but there are three main ones that pose a threat. The trapper caste uses organic glue to hold potential prey down or at least slow them down. The soldiers then march in and using over sized mandibles, slice the prey's flesh off while it's still alive. This is all orchestrated by the third caste, the queen, who directs the attacks using pheromones. Use of fire or water is advised if ever caught by these creatures. The water will wash them off and the fire will simply incinerate them. They possess small pincers on their legs that allow them to hold fast, so shaking them off isn't an option.
Trembler Worms-Minimal
Ten foot long earthworms on steroids. To fuel their massive growth, they now need protein and energy from meat as well as consuming more detritus from the ground. Thankfully, they are scavengers rather than hunters. As they approach a carcass, they'll pull themselves from the ground and use concentric circles of very sharp teeth to take chunks out of any meat they find. They may accidentally bite prey that still alive, leaving a nasty bite, but they usually retreat if the prey is still alive, as their bodies are still soft.
Death Gliders-Minimal
Giant black bats with blood red eyes and twenty foot wingspans. They live in caves hanging upside down from the ceiling. Despite their morbid sounding name and threatening appearance, they actually only eat fruit. They are entirely harmless apart from swooping down and scaring unsuspecting travelers away from their nests. They were given that name as they are often considered omens of ill fortune and death.
Burrowing Jewel Serpent-Severe
Related to the Orochi of the jungles, Burrowing Jewel Snakes can grow up to sixty feet long. This is smaller than their giant cousins, but still enough to pose a major threat to adventures underground. Their bodies are encrusted in beautiful gemstones that glitter even the low light of the caves. Adventures are enticed by the many gems and then are promptly devoured when they come too close. They may be skinnier than their jungle cousins, but they are faster and not to mention a beautiful creature.
True Jewel Beetle-Minimal
A large beetle, about 4 inches long. Their shells are encrusted with high quality gemstones of various types, depending on what is available in their region. Highly sought after for their carapace.
Porcupine Beetle-Minimal
Yet another strange denizen of the underground, Porcupine Beetles are dog sized insects covered in not only a hard exoskeleton, but thousands of fine needle like spines. They aren't aggressive in the slightest and only eat tree roots. The only recorded attack on a person by a Porcupine Beetle was provoked by the person.
