Appearance: The appearance of a Mana Bee is barely any different than the standard anthophila. Instead of being black and yellow striped, Mana Bee’s take on a black and light-blue striped appearance with their blue fuzz admitting a soft glow. Their larva take on deep blue appearance, engulfed in the same gentle light enveloping their soft bodies apart from their small, black maws. The creatures are astonishingly large with workers bees growing up to 4 - 5 feet, drones reaching a remarkable 9 - 11 feet, and larva reaching only a foot big. The queen herself is especially titanic, her highness reaching sizes between 45 - 56 feet.
Information: A more magical and much larger species of anthophila, Mana Bee's spend most of their existence peacefully buzzing throughout flora enriched areas, gathering nectar and producing vasts quantities of glowing blue honey of which a shot's worth is enough to reinvigorate a skillful wizard to full charge while making regular honey seem bitter in comparison by just how sweeter Mana Bee honey is. Like bees, the dwelling of a Mana Bee takes the form of a massive hive, one of which is blue and glowing, that commonly forms on the ground or hangs from trees large enough to support it. Each hive can consist up to 20,000 - 120,000 residents.
Mana bees are also one of the more benevolent creatures taking up residence within Nina, showing aggression only when members are truly threatened. They'll even allow themselves to be mounted while continuing their daily, peaceful task. It is actually quite common for people to go missing this way, typically children, who show no fear of hopping onto the back of a giant, glowing bee to be taken back to their hive. Should a mana bee, specifically a drone, be compelled to defend itself, and or it's hive, their assailants will be enlightened of one of the creatures other names: Lighting Bees. Once presented with a target, drones will start to bend their abdomen forward in the same fashion a bee does to sting their foes. Instead, the drones abdomen will begin to glow brighter as it generates electricity, creating a small orb of energy at their abdomens end before shortly after letting lose a powerful bolt of lighting with enough strength to destroy a car. Anyone foolish enough to attack a Mana Bee will quickly find themselves within a furious storm where droplets have traded roles with lighting.
Luckily, Mana Bee's are far from territorial, that they'll even allow anyone to walk right into their hive and even permitting visitors to indulge in their sweet honey granted that most hives make more food than what to do with and, in a way, welcome those who can lessen their load. Although, there is one interesting trait about the honey of a Mana Bee. When a hive starts to run out of space for food the worker bees will begin to inject their stingers into a large sum of their food supply and begin pumping a strange violet substance. This unknown fluid is absorbed by the honey which, shortly after injection, will begin to move with a newfound will of its own, taking on a shapeless mass. These living forms of magic honey will then forsake the hive for one sole purpose: to be eaten. They will typically seek out settlements as they usually yield the most mouths to feed, forcing itself into the belly of those it comes across til their victims can indulge no further.
Taming: Mana bees are impossible to tame with workers and drones obeying their queen and their queen alone. As for the queen herself, she will not forsake her hive unless it is completely destroyed.
Diet: All Mana Bees rely on their own produced honey to keep themselves, their queen, and their larvae well and fed.
