I demonstrate by ability to draw parallels to both formal and informal learning and highlight why both are important for learning.
In this piece, I navigate (with permission) an email I got during the school year where a parent was concerned about technology usage as it relates to the safety and privacy of her child. After doing some reading and research, I was able to give her an informed response. This blog post also includes several resources for teachers to learn about privacy and safety online for students, as there are important laws we are responsible for following. This survey was designed to see if professional responsibilities outside of contract hours (unpaid) had an impact on overall job satisfaction for teachers. It demonstrates my ability to create and conduct meaningful research in an educational setting. This is research that could benefit teaching and learning departments.
