Burials at Wolf Creek Cemetery (and in all of Wisconsin) must have a Form "Report for Final Disposition..." furnished by the Funeral Home or business or person responsible for the remains. See the report below
The costs here are for 2023
Grave that can be used for one vault (full burial) or two cremations $350
Grave opening is contracted out - not a service provided by the Cemetery
Opening a full burial when there is no snow on the ground and no frost $500
(winter burials are much more expensive as the cemetery has to be plowed, the ground thawed, graves shoveled, etc.)
Opening for a cremation urn (non winter) $75
Included in the burial fees are marking the grave location, doing record keeping, marking the gravestone location and searching the records of the cemetery for the information needed.
The cemetery does not sell gravestones or markers. There are several monument companies in the area including Melgard Monument at River Falls, Northern Granite at Barron. You can do a Google Search for gravestone companies near me and find more. If you want to order your own gravestone online and want to install it yourself, you must contact the cemetery to have the location marked and make sure it is suitable for the cemetery. It is best to ask these questions before buying a stone as there are some rules for the cemetery. We also prefer a base under the gravestone with an inch diameter opening for a flower pot on a pipe stand, the opening on the left side of the stone.
The form below must be included for burial by Wisconsin state law.
