These health-focused services are available to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, or elder abuse.
Forensic Nursing Service (FNS):
What it is: Provides 24/7 emergency medical-forensic exams, including evidence collection (if within 7 days of the incident).
How to access: Go to the Emergency Department at Surrey Memorial Hospital or Abbotsford Regional Hospital. You can ask for a forensic nurse directly.
Embrace Clinic:
What it is: A specialized outpatient clinic for survivors who may not need a full forensic exam or are past the 7-day window. It offers trauma-informed medical care, STI testing, and mental health referrals.

HEAL Clinic (SCAN Program):
What it is: Specialized medical and psychological evaluations for children (0–18) suspected of experiencing abuse or neglect.

These units are located within local RCMP or municipal police detachments. They provide court support, information on police files, and help with Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) applications.
