Find two videos that show how to make cylinders on the pottery wheel. Insert those videos on your process page in the inspiration section. Explain the different techniques you learned from the videos. Was there anything different between the two video techniques?
Take three 1/4 lb. pieces of clay. Throw three cylinders on the pottery wheel. Cut those cylinders in half. Take a picture of your cut cylinders. Take two 1/2 lb. pieces of clay and wedge the clay. Throw one cylinder and cut it in half. Take a picture of your cut cylinder. Your remaining 1/2 lb. piece of clay, throw a cylinder, but do not cut it in half. Cut the bottom of the cylinder with a wire cutter twice. Take a sand pail and flip it on top of the cylinder on the bat. Use two chopsticks and place them below the sand pail on each side to help the cylinder get leatherhard.
Trim your cylinder at the bottom to even the sides and create a foot on the bottom.
