The UCKG have submitted an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate for the refusal of planning permision to their proposals for converting the Grade ll listed Granada cinema into a church. They had until the end of November 2011 to submit the appeal, which they said they would do at the planning meeting in June. They have left it to the last possible moment to ensure maximum delay before the final decision about the future of this building is made. The Inquiry will take place early next year.
