Whipps Cross Hospital Redevelopment
Although the Nurse's Home buildings have been demolished the Treasury will not release the funds for starting Phase 1, the construction of the multistorey car park, until 2025. As this is after the next election doubt exists about the the future of the new hospital. This situation has arisen many times over the last 40 years hence the hospital having to operate in 120 year old buildings!

December 2022 work commenced on the construction of the foundations for the 34 and 27 storey tower blocks. Doubt exists over the new entrance to the Victoria line as TfL don't have the funds and work for the hole to the platforms has to be completed by 2025.
