Schedule of the 1^st Transnational Meeting

17^th- 23^rd March 2019, Białowieża, Poland

MONDAY 18th

Guests’ welcoming at Zespół Szkolno-Przedszkolny in Białowieża by local authorities presentation of the partner school, visiting the school , teachers and students interview;
Transfer to Hajnówka (it takes about 15 minutes). Sightseeing the city. Exchange the money. Shopping time.
Visiting the The Orthodox Church of Saint Trinity
Getting to know each other –students’ & teachers’ meeting. Working on the bilingual dictionary- brainstorming about words. Preparation of lexical dictionary in 6 languages.

TUESDAY 19th

Nature and Forest Museum of the Bialowieża National Park –explore topics related to diversity of the last natural forest in Europe. getting the knowledge about wildlife of Primeval Forest from the best experts and scientists.
Visiting Strict Reserve Area –guided tour (take comfortable shoes) Educational path to understand natural processes in forest habitat. Get to know the role of dead wood in forest ecosystem.
Visiting Bison Reserve – discover diversity of forest invertebrates and vertebrates.
Working on the bilingual dictionary in groups.

WEDNESDAY 20th

Visit at Narewka Culture Centre, taking part in art workshops on traditional Polish food, items made of straw and other eco-friendly products such as plastics, fabrics, metals;
drown “Marzanna doll” (made during workshop) to chase off winter;
Coordinators: strategic meeting.

THURSDAY 21st

Visit at the Polish -Belarussian border going there by horse drawn carriges ;
Transfer to Forest Education Centre at “Jagiellońskie”,
Visit atthe educational path in the forest, working with compass, giving directions, recognizing trees;
Learning,teaching workshops at Forest Education Centre (discussion of endangeded species). Workshop “Animals in the Primeval Forest”, watching a film & making posters (team works);
Bonfire at Jagiellońskie

FRIDAY 22nd

Attending lessons at school biology, science, English, presenting the partners’ schools: presentations for class 1,2,3 ,presentations for class 4,5,6, presentations for class 7,8 ;
Visit at the Mammal Research Institute and participating in practical training in research projects in ecology and European bison- the king of the forest;
Coordinators meeting- evaluation of the meeting;
Intercultural evening , evaluation of the visit , receiving the certificates.
