Escola Secundária de Emídio Navarro, is a secondary public school, in Viseu, Portugal, and we have a long tradition as technological school that started its activity in 1898. Now the school has about 130 teachers and 1300 pupils, roughly half of them attend professional/vocationalcourses (Management, ITC, Mechanics, Electronics, Support childhood, …), and the other half the compulsory basic and secondary studies. It has also several basic 7th to 9th grade and secondary 10th to 12th grade we also have artistic (Music and Dance) classes, 7th to 12th grades, in a partnership with the local Conservatory and a local Dance School Academy. Our school has been enrolled in several environment projects and even won in the past several national prizes. We can mobilize the school’s community towards the success of the project thanks to our students and teachers.

We have several past experience within Comenius and a present KA2 project. We proudly are a multicultural and diversified school with all associated problems from beeing a public school attending the compulsory education in Portugal, that ends when pupils end the 12th grade / reach 18 years old. Our present school direction has several projects running involving the community as we see the school open to the city and local community.
