OUR Travel SOCCER LEAGUES...

WBSC is in a unique part of the state, directly in the middle of the (2) soccer associations: PA West and the Eastern PA Soccer Association (EPYSA). While our physical fields lie in one association, our business address lies in the other. As we have grown substantially over the past few years, our travel program has ventured out and become connected within both PAW and EPYSA. We enter our older teams (U15-U19) into PAW's Mountain District each spring season. Most of our younger teams now participate in EPYSA's NorCenPenn League, which is located in central PA. A travel season typically includes (2) practices per week and (8) games: 4 home + 4 away. All games are played on Sundays. The PAW Mountain District includes teams from Bellefonte, State College, Altoona, Hollidaysburg, Clearfield, DuBois, and more. EPYSA's NorCenPenn League includes teams from Williamsport, Hughesville, Lewisburg, Mt. Carmel, Selinsgrove, Danville, Bloomsburg, Montoursville, and more. ALL travel coaches have obtained USSF coaching licenses.

Pennsylvania West State Soccer Association (PA West Soccer) is the National State Association of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the United State Youth Soccer Association (USYS), and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). PA West State Soccer Association has a current membership of over 130 youth clubs and eight adult leagues with 40,000 youth players, 2,500 amateur adult players, 7,000 active coaches, 1,600 referees and thousands of volunteers involved across the western half of the state of Pennsylvania.

It is a not-for-profit Pennsylvania corporation, allowing tax deductible donations and contributions to the fullest extent of the law. The State Association's boundaries are the western border of Pennsylvania east to the eastern boundaries of Potter, Clinton, Centre, Huntingdon, and Fulton counties.

PA West Soccer Association is organized to provide non-profit, public, educational soccer development and competition. Its leadership is comprised of an Executive Board in which both the Youth Board and Adult Board are represented. The organization's offices are located in Monroeville, PA, just outside of Pittsburgh, offering a staff of five to assist its membership.

PA West Soccer Association offers in-house programs for U5 to U19 and travel programs for U10 to U19. The Classic Division is offered for U12 to U19 players seeking a higher level of play. TOPSoccer offers soccer programs designed for children with special needs. PA West Soccer Olympic Development Program identifies players for regional and national team consideration. Adult leagues are available for the adult player.

PA West Soccer Association members receive numerous benefits and services to support their club activities. The association offers coaching license programs, player development clinics, referee training and certification courses, referee development and assessment, a variety of tournaments, a State Association newsletter- Touchline, a video library, medical and liability insurance, and much more.

TRAVEL TRYOUTS general information

JUNE 2024 TRYOUTS (For Fall 2024/Spring 2025): All players interested in travel for the Fall/Spring are evaluated annually. Pre-registration is requested for all tryouts so we can plan accurately. More information on dates/times will be coming in May 2024.

SPECIAL NOTES: If your child is a travel player in the Fall season, they do not need to tryout again for Spring. ALL players must try out in June for the following Fall season, even players who are already on travel teams. We do at least one yearly evaluation of ALL players. Each year we have to re-evaluate our teams and also need to see how the kids play together.

If your child plays for the middle or high school, there will be teams in the Spring Season for both the U15 and U19 age groups. Players for these age groups do not need to sign up to be evaluated.

If you have a younger child but feel they need to be challenged by moving up to a u10 travel team, we will consider this on an individual basis and encourage you to reach out to us in advance about tryouts: westbranchsoccerLH@gmail.com
